Game preview: Louisville visits Florida state


Louisville (2-1) kicks off the ACC game on Saturday with their first real road trip of the 2021 season. The Cardinals will travel to Florida State (0-3) for a kick at 3:30 pm.

The Cardinals, who beat the Seminoles 48-16 at home last year, are 2-2 all-time when they started playing with the ACC on the road. Florida State is 0-3 for the first time since 1976, which is the late Bobby Bowden’s first season to coach the Seminoles.

Which quarterback (s) the State of Florida can use is unknown. FSU head coach Mike Norvell has used Jordan Travis and UCF to transfer McKenzie Milton in three games, with the possibility that Chubba Purdy will see his first action of the season increase every week. Travis transferred from Louisville, Florida in 2018. Purdy had committed to Louisville in the 2020 class before moving to Seminoles on signing day.

Louisville is trying to win its first ACC game for the first time since the 2017 season.

Florida State is trying to avoid a 0-4 start for the first time since 1973.
