BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FL – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team will return to the course on Monday, playing in the Battle at the Shores at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach.

The men’s golf team is looking to end the regular season strong, starting with this two-day tournament.

“We have to finish better, we didn’t finish our tournament well and we went to Alabama and we didn’t finish really well, we finished second but we just didn’t finish it.”

“We finished well at the Florida Tech event and then we didn’t have a chance to finish the last tournament because of the weather, so we’re really looking for that consistency this week,” the men’s golf coach said. of Eastern Florida State College, Jamie Howell.

The Titans have finished in the top three in all four events this season and have finished fourth in the past four seasons at the Barry event, which features some of the best NCAA Division II teams in the country.

“You have to play smart, the way coach (Barry) (Jimmy) Stobs sets the course is to fail you,” said male golfer Ryan McMillan.

“Some holes look pretty easy, but if you miss it from five feet you’re in trouble. The course is shorter, so you really have to focus on positioning the ball and not just shooting the stick.

The first round will start on Monday morning and the final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
